    Spotify: authentication with Spottyfailure

What CPU is your NAS using? Did you try the "Spotty Legacy Helper", too?

    > not been able to log into Spotify again due to failed authentication.

I'd expect 2.060 to work. In particular this shouldn't have any impact
    on the authentication anyway.

    > I was not able to run Spotty from a shell.

What exactly did you try? What did you get?

The CPU is probably 2GHz Marvell. The Spotty Legacy Helper (v0.12.0) is checked and installed. It used to work before.
Due to privilege restrictions on a Windows 10 PC I have not been able to log onto the NAS via CMD. However, I can log onto the NAS via Putty and WinSCP. Is there a command I can use in Putty to test the Spotty plugin somehow?

First please report what the following command would give you:

    Code:
    /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/SlimServer/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/SpottyARMLegacyBin/Bin/spotty -x
    And then the following:

    Code:
    /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/SlimServer/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin/arm-linux/spotty-hf -x
This second path is a guess.

Ok, let's see what you got. Please run:

    Code:
    find /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/SlimServer/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins -name spotty*

    Hmm... what would

    Code:
    ls -l /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/SlimServer/Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin/arm-linux/spotty-hf
    give? Or

    Code:

I fear this is due to ongoing changes on Spotify's end: some months ago they seem to have started to shut down some systems, without updating others. This is causing one of their endpoints to point to other hosts which no longer exist. I've been able to mitigate this issue with the latest helpers. Alas, 0.12.0 is too old, doesn't support the necessary parameter yet.

Now... running LMS on a Synology NAS is a known dead end anyway (you either get stuck with an outdated, vulnerable system, or you update DSM - which removes the necessary Perl installation). As always I'd strongly suggest your move your LMS to a different system (eg. a Raspberry Pi) and use the NAS for storage only. It will improve performance, compatibility, and potentially security.
