    Update to LMS 8.0

I have been having bother with LMS recently, every rescan crashes, then have to restart LMS, restart takes for ever, like 2 hours.
Maybe time to upgrade to the new version. I see it in updates, but I can't see where to actually start the downloads, i can view comments on GitHub but I can't see any files to download!
    Am i missing something?

    Cheers

    LMS downloads

LMS 8.0 can be found here: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/

Btw, I am using the latest 7.9.3 version on a windows system, and don't have any of the issues that you describe.
I am not sure if updating to the latest LMS 8.0 version will solve the problems that you have. Of course you can always try.

Thanks for the link, but my AVG virus software blocked it, said the file was infected with URL:Blacklist?
Is it a problem with AVG or something else?

If in doubt go to virustotal.com to check the file in question. If the
vast majority of the results is ok, then you can be pretty confident
it's a false positive in AVG:

Which package of LMS 8.0 for Synology NAS?

Thanks for continuing to improve LMS. I am trying to download LMS 8.0 to my Synology DS-713+ which currently runs LMS 7.9.1 which was installed from the Synology package center. I cannot figure out which file to download. The Synology NAS requires packages with the .pkg file extensions? I tried to install any of the files shown at the URL but all give an error message "Invalid File Format". Can anybody help?

    Thank you so much.

Search for pinkdot's Synology packages in this forum.

So will there be anymore updates to 7.9.x?
Or will the fixes and improvements only be added to 8.x from now on, or from a cut of date in the future?
Like when 8.0 goes out of beta?

Latest changes to 7.9.3 were applied a day or two ago. Important fixes
    still go there.
