LastMix Plugin and Squeezelite v1.9.9-1372-pCP Player Not Working

    Hi

I have installed the LastMix Plugin and have it set to "LastMix - Don't Stop The Music support using Last.fm." on all of my players.

It seems to work fine for my UPnP attached devices (Sonos Speakers) but not for my PiCorePlayers (on Squeezelite v1.9.9-1372-pCP).

I use the "Random Mix" option to play 10 tracks from my collection and with the UPnP devices more tracks are played, but the PiCorePlayers stop at the 10th track.

It has worked in the past on the PiCorePlayer devices.

    Logitech Media Server is on Version: 8.1.2 - 1618379628 @ Wed Apr 14 09:03:29 CEST 2021.

Any ideas how to get it working consistently for all of my players?

    Thanks.

I just tried this and it worked for me. Have you definitely selected the Don't stop the music option in player settings for your piCorePlayer?

Could be wrong here, but if playing a "Random Mix", DSTM would never kick in as the playlist is more or less endless?
    Server - LMS 8.2.0 Pi4B 4GB/Argon one case/pCP v7.0.1 - 75K library, playlists & LMS cache on SSD (ntfs)
    Study - Pi3B/pCP 7.0.1/pi screen/AlloBoss DAC HAT/Ruark MR1 Mk2

I was assuming that the option to continuously add songs was turned off. Otherwise like you say DSTM would never kick in.

You are correct I have turned the Continuous option off. It also fails if I just add a few songs to a playlist on the piCorePlayer device.

Have you turned on DSTM for the piCorePlayer since it works for me?

Please note that the DSTM settings are per player. Make sure you
configure it for each one of them.

Thanks for the reply. It is configured for each player.

Interestingly I rebuilt the faulty player last night as follows:

    1. Downloaded piCorePlayer 7.0 from the website.
    2. Re-flashed my SD Card and configured player name etc.
    3. At this point DSTM worked.
    4. This morning I applied the minor update to take piCorePlayer to 7.0.1.
    5. Since that time DSTM does not seem to work on this particular RPi.

I have 2 other Squeezelite piCorePlayers both on 7.0.1 and these work fine.

    Version info faulting player: piCorePlayer v7.0.1 | www v00015 | linux 5.4.83-pcpCore-v7 | piCore v12.0pCP | Squeezelite v1.9.9-1372-pCP
    Version info working players: piCorePlayer v7.0.1 | www v00016 | linux 5.4.83-pcpCore | piCore v12.0pCP | Squeezelite v1.9.9-1372-pCP

As you can see apart from the www version number the players are the same.

Might just take the faulting one back to v7.0.0 retest and leave it there.

What does the www number signify? Mine is 16 on a Pi3B

So the single PiCorePlayer is still failing.

I noticed the following in the Server Logs:

    [21-04-20 13:37:41.2416] Slim::Plugin:ontStopTheMusic::Plugin:nPlaylistChange (189) Received command playlist newsong

So the player knows that DontStopTheMusic is enabled and should do something.

This player has a JustBoom DAC - whereas the working ones use a HiFi Berry DAC. Could that be a factor?

Interestingly when the faulting player is part of a Group Don't Stop the Music works fine.

Any ideas what the problem with this single player might be, or how I can get more logs?

    Thanks.
