Speaker is default. Just the way I started. Lms being the source.

I boot my 3B+ From usb. Likely you need to increase the waitusb value on the kernel command line.

I think you have to set the "waitusb" time in the bootconfig (I don't know the real name in the moment, but there is only one textfile with this value) to a higher value, that's all. This file is accessible on the USB stick.

Thanks Paul and Carsten, waitusb was it. Could have sworn I tried that previously as that's how I got the 6.1.0 version working, but hey ho, all good now and updated to latest version.

    Pin for connecting android device

I want to connect my android phone to PcP via bluetooth for streaming Music from the phone to the player.

I have a pi 2 with an external bluetooth dongle. BT controller an pairing daemon in PcP are running.

I start "discover" in the paring section of PcP and I can see my piCorePlayer in the BT device list on my phone.

When I select piCorePlayer on the phone I am always asked for a pin. As I read on page 1 of this tread, there should not be any pin. I cannot leave the pin empty on my phone...

some devices refuse to honor the pinless pairing request.

You will need to pair this device from an ssh session using "bluetoothctl" There are examples in this thread somewhere, otherwise just google it.

    Bluetooth for pure squeezelite?

On another device (Pi 3) I don┤t have PcP, but Kodi and for playing music a pure squeezelite player. I would like to connect bluetooth smartphones for playing music (eg. amazon prime) on this squeezelite as I am doing now on my PcP.

Does anybody know what to install on this pure squeezelite device?

Bluetooth implementation varies drastically between distributions. Your best to ask at a Kodi forum.

PcP as player from Amazon Echo dot

    Hi,

Running pcp v7.0.0 on a rpi 3, with inbuilt Bluetooth. My Amazon echo pairs and connects. But I am unable to get it running in the "Player" mode - I would like to play from the Dot to PcP.
PcP is working fine otherwise for local music, spotty etc.- through a Allo Digione.
Noticed this in the logs: "BT Name:Echo Dot-C88 is expected to be a Speaker, Disconnect, then reconnect device." - I am not sure what that means.
    Thanks in advance.

Can an Echo, in general, act as a Bluetooth source?

I know that it can be connected to as a Bluetooth speaker - so you can send audio from LMS to Echo.
