am i the only one that face this problem? is there any solution to this?

i try using spotify from the LMS UI it worked much better but not the best, i want to use the spotify UI app because every one in my family is familiar with thisone

    im using

    iCore
    Version:

    12.0pCP

    Linux release:

    5.4.83-pcpCore-v8

    every thing is updated

    thank you for yourt time

    Vasilios

edit: i think that i am on a wrong thread but i can't find the correct
    I am using the Pi4
    • piCorePlayer v7.0.0 | www v00011 | linux 5.4.83-pcpCore-v7l | piCore v12.0pCP | Squeezelite v1.9.8-1344-pCP
    • LMS 8.1.1 and Spotty V4.4.7

I do not experience the lag that you have experienced.

My only issue is that my playlists stop after nearly each song when using the Spotify UI.
If I use the Squeezer->MyApps->Spotty UI the playlists work fine.

I would check your network connections and wifi/network speed between the devices as a first step.

    Regards
    Sanjay

    Hi

If you just want a "Spotify Speaker" there are better solutions than using PiCore... (If you don't want LMS ui)...
This might be a alternative? : BalenaSoundOS
    There are probably others too.

If you want LMS+Spotty - If your Pi is up to date (and freshly installed) on a fast SD card, and your LMS is fast enough, You might check out if your network (WiFi?) has issues...

Not having used Balena Sound could you let me know why you feel that is a better solution?

Picore/lms/spotty does a great job for me on the Pi4 and the plugins with LMS make it so flexible. LMS has many UI clients to control your device on all platforms i never use the default LMS UI.

As it just do "one thing" (connected speaker), but if you want the LMS functionality - it's not a good alternative - It was an answer to the "I want a Spotify speaker" - So it wasn't an answer to your main question - "How do I make LMS/PiCore more responsive"

Spotify would indeed only return 50 tracks. I'll add another query(ies)
to grab more if there are more. Thanks for the heads up! I actually had
such an album in my collection and didn't notice...
    Hi Michael

I know that you are a busy chap! Is it likely that this issue will be resolved sometime soon please?

    Thanks.

I'm sorry for the delay... I've been using the fix for a while now - but
forgot to release it. Should be with you shortly. Thanks for the nudge!

    Hi Michael

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately Spotty seems to be only still bringing across 50 tracks. Should it bring all across automatically or is there a setting I have missed?

    Thanks.

    Did you re-run a scan/import?
