I don't see a "status 429" in the log. Here's what I see (aside from a lot of repeats of "[20-06-0X XX:XX:XX.XXXX] Plugins::Spotty::API::Token::_killTokenHelper (177) Timed out waiting for a token" before and after this):

Michael, I just selected "disable asynch token refresh call" that you recently added in the settings, restarted, and Spotty works great, just like it always did, now!

    Thanks for all your efforts.

Token refresh call helper has closed unexpectedly?
    Is this a rhetorical question?

I got this after LMS restarted to install the latest Material version. Everything works as expected, so it doesn't seem too serious.

    Hi Michael,

thanks for your continous development. I am on a LMS8 (Latest build from yesterday) and use Spotty 4.01. It's on a Linux Debian 10 System with Standard Kernel.

I am using Spotify Connect (via App) which works great however I have some issues to report:

    1) I have to tick the Pre-Buffering Option - I am not sure how often this occurs for other users but here: No chance without this option
    2) After about 3-4 songs the Playback stops. I then have to just jump to the next song in the Spotify APP and it continues to play
    3) From time to time my Player is not available in Spotify App. I have to close the app reopen it (sometimes 3-4 times and than it is available again)

I have a second Spotify connect device in my network which is in te same IP Range. This works without any issues so I guess the infrastructure is fine.

I use squeezelite from Ralphy: v1.9.7-1239 and start this with:

    Code:
    squeezelite -W -b 3072:4096 -R -u vME:::28 -c pcm,dsd,flac,mp3,ogg,alac,wma,aac -r 44100,48000,88200,96000,176400,192000,352800,384000 -D 0:u32be -d all=debug -z -o stereo1 -a 100:3:32:1:2 -p 45
    Thanks S

That's because you use large buffers.

    > 2) After about 3-4 songs the Playback stops. I then have to just jump to

Unfortunately Connect mode is not as stable as I wished it was. This
random stopping is something I've tried to address in too many ways
already. The Pre-Buffering option was one of them, but turned out to be
less stable overall. That's why it's disabled by default.

I'd suggest you reduce squeezelite's buffer size and disable the Spotty
pre-buffering. It might give you better results.

    > 3) From time to time my Player is not available in Spotify App. I have

That sounds as if the spotty daemon died every now and then. And it
might also explain why playback stops. Can you monitor the processlist?
There's one spotty task per player with "--bitrate 96 --lms ...". That's
the connect daemon. If this changes pid, then it has been restarted.
Well, you could of course just enable info logging for plugin.spotty.
    It'll tell you.

I see you have a dropdown for the helper application. Would you have a
    spotty-custom in there?

    Hi Michael,

thanks a lot for your quick answer and continous support.

Unfortunately Connect mode is not as stable as I wished it was. This
random stopping is something I've tried to address in too many ways

I'd suggest you reduce squeezelite's buffer size and disable the Spotty
pre-buffering. It might give you better results.
You mean buffer in squeezelite right. Honestly Speaking I am not an expert in this so could you please recommend a buffersize which could work.
I would than disable the pre-Bufering as sugessted.

I see you have a dropdown for the helper application. Would you have a
    spotty-custom in there?
    No just these 2:

I did so and will tack this.

How did you configure squeezelite? You got a whole lot of parameters
listed in your previous posting... I think -b is the buffer parameter.
Check the squeezelite documentation if in doubt.

I've been listening to the F1: Beyond the Grid podcast which currently has 89 episodes but spotty only shows the most recent 50.

Is there a way to access them all in Spotty?

    Spotty v4.1.1
    LMS v7.9.3 - r20778.2ff9b71 @ 1590981050 on Debian i386

I couldn't get a spotty url for the podcast, if you do a spotty search for f1: beyond the grid in podcasts you'll find it.

    Thanks.

Note to myself: Never make assumptions like "there's no podcast with
more than 50 episodes worth listening to"...
