I'm trying to get my Boom functional after a long period of inactivity.
It's actually somewhat functional. It connects via wifi to my iMac and I can play some internet radio stations.
I'm mainly trying to get Pandora to work.

I noticed that this message appears repeatedly in server.log:
Slim::Networking::SqueezeNetwork::_error (500) Unable to login to SN: Invalid mysqueezebox.com username or password.

Also, in System Preferences for Logitech Media Server, when I try "Verify password" on the Account tab, I get "Invalid mysqueezebox.com username or password".
I'm able to log in to the mysqueezbox.com website using the email address/password configured in System Preferences.
When I try to use Pandora via the websites Remote Control, I get "Your player is not authorized to use mysqueezebox.com".
I assume that has something to do with the login failure.

    Any ideas?

Are you using any "exotic" characters in your password? We did have an
issue at some point, but I thought I had fixed that a while ago.

      Is this the latest 7.9.2?

Maybe someone will tell you (I don't remember) how to save "My Favorites" from your LMS installation.

Then I would remove all the files from logitechmediaserver on your computer and reinstall.

I have had this problem several times, and the easiest cure was to do this.

In linux the file to save is: /opt/logitechmediaserver/prefs/favorites.opml

I delete /opt/logitechmediaserver completely after saving the favorites.opml elsewhere.

I then install logitechmediaserver and I manually copy over to /opt/logitechmediaserver/prefs, the favorites.opml
        file.

It doesn't take too long and the problem is solved. You'll have to enter your password in Settings on LMS when
you get it working, but you can find that. Your web interface is IP address colon 9000.

        Best wishes,

Nothing more exotic than a dash.

Is there more than one version of 7.9.2?
          I got it from http://downloads.slimdevices.com/.
          I was dated 14-Jan-2020.
That leads me to another question.
I originally updated to Logitech Media Server v7.7.6 from http://www.mysqueezebox.com/download.
That's the version listed for Mac OS X 10.5-10.11. Nothing listed for post-10.11.

That's the latest. There is a 7.9.3 build with a bunch of fixes. But
none related to the issue you're seeing.

mysb would show the latest release officially supported by Logitech. But
that's probably becoming a moot point... as most really technical
questions end up on my desk anyway, I could probably stop distinguishing...

Wellll, sort of. I eliminated the dashes from my password and when I did a Verify Password in System Preferences,
                it said it connected successfully.
The weird thing is that I went to the Sytem Preferences Status tab and then back to the Account tab, it looks like it replace the new password
with something else (I assume the old password), which then didn't verify, and the log file is still showing Invalid mysqueezebox.com username or password.

                  I've done that numerous times.
Enter it in System Preferences->Account tab
                  "Verify password", which succeeds.
Switch to the Status tab to verify server is running
Switch back to Account tab. "Good" password has reverted to a bad one.
(Can't see the actual password, but it's a different length than the 'good' one.)

I though perhaps I needed to update the password w/o the server running,
but System Preferences won't allow it unless the server is running.

That's by design, it's not an indication that the password has changed. The important thing is if LMS can connect to mysqueezebox.

Password is probably fine. More likely your LMS cannot see the internet, therefore it reports "invalid". Try stopping and restarting LMS? Sure nothing is blocking LMS from seeing internet?
