I have now got a Nanopi M4 V1 fitted with a NVME hat and a M2 SSD 1TB SSD and a Khadas tone board working perfectly

How is USB out on that board. Pi 3B+ not so good, Pi4 better, but running hot since I want to use video as well...Easy to load Kodi or Plex on one of those?

I've got a Pi 3B+ running with an allo hat and Max2Play as my OS which includes LMS...forget what version of Linux it's based on , but there is a Kodi plugin available.

I have several HiFi Berry DAC+ and Pro XLR. These are great.

I wish that the Pro XLR had the DSP built-in. If it did I would build some room correction filters.

HiFi BerryOS has the DSP stuff built-in. That's it's major advantage over PiCorePlayer.

With piCorePlayer, I use BruteFirDRC on the server side. But now I'm intrigued by this built-in DSP stuff in Berry OS. Is it brutefir based?

I really can't say. At present it looks like you can implement EQ curves based upon measurements taken with an instrumentation microphone.

The mic they sell is the same USB model that I bought from MiniDSP for measuring SPL.
