Switching default branch on GitHub to v8.0

For those using GitHub to pull the latest changes: the default branch
now is public/8.0. If you do a new clone you should get the latest
    development branch.

If you prefer to stick with 7.9 and are doing a new clone, make sure to
switch to public/7.9 after the initial checkout.

Is it safe to just drop 8.0 where 7.9 used to be (i.e. config files)?

Confirmed! Upgraded using the arm deb nightly and up and running!

    Great job.
