    Note also that the errors:

thread 'main' panicked at 'Authentication failed with reason: BadCredentials', /home/pi/.cargo/git/checkouts/librespot-40ba8a51a8dd7e0d/8c2bd4e/core/src/connection/mod.rs:93:21

still occur at then end of boot log, but now they are well after everything else is started ok. Maybe it is just the action of changing hdmi power that kills the startup script, and these messages are red herrings....

trying the vcgencmd display_power commands as root never finishes. maybe that's why the startup script never gets to start httpd. it's not been killed, just still waiting for vcgencmd.

These messages are caused by incorrect credentials configured for
Spotty. Disable the plugin or configure it correctly to get rid of those
    messages.

ok - spotty fixed. red herring.

problem recurs when I re-enable hdmi power off - restart is hanging in vcgencmd:

    tc@lms-test:~$ pstree -p
    init(1)-+-bootlocal.sh(1266)-+-pcp_startup.sh(1269)---vcgencmd(8944)---{VCHIQ completio}(8946)

    ...
    8944 root 0:00 vcgencmd display_power 0 2
    ...

Is this relevant: this pi4 has previously been running (then) latest raspbian with latest fixes. This would
include latest bootloader and eeprom updates (to support USB boot)

Is the vcgencmd from picore ok with latest eeprom firmware?

(and when setting hdmi power to on in gui, I get this extra line in pstree

    |-httpd(9032)---httpd(9480)---writetohdmipwr.(9481)---tvservice(9629)---{VCHIQ completio}(9630)

    which also does not finish)

as an experiment - rebooted rapbian:

    [paul@pi4a ~ 04:11:35 1]$ sudo rpi-eeprom-update
    BCM2711 detected
    Dedicated VL805 EEPROM detected

    [paul@pi4a ~ 04:11:46 1]$

So I tried installing the 3rd Sept bootloader, then rebooting pcp.

    and.. it works!!

with that firmware update, I can now turn off/on hdmi power via the gui, and each time, after a reboot, everything (including gui) starts up ok.

So it looks like vcgencmd does not work well with some rpi4 firmware versions.

I'll stop now while everything seems to be working ok.....

Later - replied too soon. Although gui now can turn off/on hdmi power wd.ithout hanging, when off, restart still hangs in vcgencmd.

So not perfect, but I can live with having to have hdmi power on for now....

vcgencmd has not been update by rpi in a long time. But I know the rpi4 firmaware changes a lot, and have had problems with hdmi power too.

    new here

trying to change filters on a ES9038Dac hat, yea the chinese version.
using the Audiophonics ISaber Q2M as the output I can see the filter selections under card control and can change via the radio buttons but after I hit SAVE and reboot it is not saved.
Once hitting saved it looks like its saved, says backup successful but there is shows the original filter(brick wall) and after the reboot it says brickwall when I go back in.

I have tried several reloads of the image to be sure

Is there a way to manually configure it in the file?
    Thanks

Unless the Chinese also knocked off the microprocessor and code, then it’s not going to work.

The driver send commands to the microprocessor, not the DAC.

Hi! As I've bought a Topping DX3 Pro to pair with my desktop PC, I was thinking of reusing my Topping D10 DAC + Corda Headphone Amp to create a bedside table listening station. Some questions.

Am I right in assuming PiCorePlayer would support Topping D10 as external DAC?
With a correctly sized power adapter it would power the DAC (which draws power only from USB), right?

To drive a touchscreen with Jivelite with good performance what Raspberry Pi model would be suggested? Are there suggested screens for this, preferably with good resolution?

Radio Station Not Streaming via LMS on piCorePlayer v6.1.0

    Hi

I originally posted this problem in the Logitech Media Server forum but it was suggested I re-post my issue in this forum as the problem may be PiCorePlayer 6.1 specific.

I am having difficulties playing a couple of Radio audio streams:

    Non-Stop 90s - https://stream.btsstream.com:8042/nonstop90s
    Atlantic 252 Classics - https://radio.streemlion.com:2295/stream

    The following one does work:

    Generations X - https://streaming.live365.com/a68269

The Atlantic 252 Classics one also doesn't work via the TuneIn Plugin.

    I am using PCP on a Raspberry Pi 3b+ as a Player/Server.

Please see the original post for info as to what has been tried, https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...eaming-via-LMS.

Could someone try the above URLs to see if they work for them and it isn't a PCP specific issue?

    Thanks.

Both non stop 90's and Atlantic 252 play for me, LMS 8 on PiCore 6.1. I read through your other thread and I think that bpa was suggesting you post here (6.0 support thread) to see if someone could test for you on their 6.0 system. One option to that would be you could create a 6.0 on a separate SD card and test yourself.

One thing I should mention (I have no idea if it matters) - I have installed Phillippe's "reliable" plugin (retry http connections) as it fixed issues I had listening to podcasts
