Did you try with pCP? pCP and USB booting has been working fine with other rpi boards, so it should work on the 4. I just have not had time to try it.

Great - I'll look forward to your story of how it goes.

    Hi Cut-Throat,

Can you tell me what version of the web interface you are using? (Found in the footer - www)

This sounds like a general problem that Paul addressed. If your www is not 008 do a [ Main page ] > [ Patch Update ].

    regards

The latest LMS 8 nightly update has caused chaos with my PcP setup:

    Logitech Media Server Version: 8.0.0 - 1590212021 @ Sat May 23 08:54:23 CEST 2020

No players are shown in the gui, I can't access Plugins under Settings, etc.

I experienced the same with the deb update on a Joggler.

Fortunately I was able to downgrade the Joggler using an earlier downloaded deb package using dpkg.

I can find no way in PcP to specify a specific lms version (other than the generic 8.0.0 tag).

Seems I'm stuck until michael picks up my post and investicates the problem, see

LMS server: O2 Joggler with Jivelite, Pi Zero W with PcP 6.0

    Amp: Denon PMA-50

Players/Speakers: Touch, Logitech Radios, Sonos Play 1s & Beam, Libratone Zipp, GGMM E2 & E3, Yamaha WXAD-010, Loewe Airspeaker, Google Chromecast Audio, Home Mini & Nest Hub, Amazon Echo 2,3 and Show5, Pioneer WX-SMA1, Roberts S1, O2 Joggler, Cisco Joggler, Fiio M6, Avantree Priva BT transmitter

If you try the manual LMS update, just change the LMS version number

But wouldn't 8.0.0 just give the latest nightly?

Running PCP only as a server

Having run pCP as server and player I decided to use a Pi3 as a server, with separate PIs as players. It's all working as expected but if I turn Squeezelite off on the server I then can't see the other player tabs on the pCP page. Is this correct behaviour?

Not a big issue but not what I expected.

Well, the update download might have been corrupted, this would / should / could / maybe give a clean one.
