Occasional stall on loading main page

Occasionally LMS (or Firefox?) stalls loading the main page. A green window
is opened and the text "Loading Logitech Media Server..." apprears, with
    an endlessly spinning wheel.

    Messages in the browser console:

This page uses the non standard property “zoom”. Consider using calc() in
the relevant property values, or using “transform” along with
    “transform-origin: 0 0”. (home.html)

Loading failed for the <script> with source
    http://lms.squirrel.nl/html/js-brows...=1580910396”. (home.html:40:1)

ReferenceError: SqueezeJS is not defined (lms.squirrel.nl:3461:3)
    <anonymous> http://lms.squirrel.nl/:3461

    Firefox 73 on Fedora 31.
    LMS is nightly (v7.9.3, 1580910396, Thu Feb 6 04:14:58 CET 2020)
    perl 5.028001 - arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int

    Any ideas/suggestions?

    - wipe the cache
    - check LMS' server.log

    That's just a warning.

That's a problem. Don't know why that would happen, though.

    Just remove /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache ?

    Nothing in the log.

Same thing happens with Chromium, so it is not Firefox specific.

Other clients (e.g. SqueezeCtrl) behave normally.

    Directly invoking a skin, e.g.
    https://lms.squirrel.nl/material/?layout=desktop also works fine.

I suspect that Michael was referring to the browser's cache.

Occasional stall on loading main page

Upgraded to 8.0.0 -- the problem still persists. Basically, LMS is not
usable on the desktop (which means I cannot do anything with the settings!).

    Default invocation:

Loading failed for the <script> with source
    http://lms.squirrel.nl/html/js-main....=1583735569”.

Material now seem to give similar errors:

Source map error: Error: request failed with status 404
    Resource URL: http://lms.squirrel.nl/Material/html...min.js?r=1.4.0

When I click one of these links the correct information is loaded and shown.

    Maybe a CORS issue?

A complete browser log from loading lms can be seen here:
    https://www.squirrel.nl/pub/xfer/upl...xdtWlQY4yA.png

I tried running Firefox in safe mode, no change.

As mentioned earlier, Chromium has the same problem.

    Maybe this is a clue:

SOLVED: Occasional stall on loading main page

It turned out to be a problem with Nginx proxy and file permissions. This
article gave me the final clues:

    https://serverfault.com/questions/59...fter-65k-bytes

I did not have any messages in the nginx log files, but there was, indeed,
a permissions problem with the nginx proxy directory. After fixing that lms
    runs as it always did!!

    Thanks for your patience.
