I tried out LMS 8 but have just discovered that the Inguz plugin does not load at all. The only reference to the Inguz plugin I can find in the server log is...
Reverted to the latest nightly, LMS v7.93 and everything works fine. It looks like the problem started on 16th January, maybe earlier on 6th January. Anyway, it's certainly a v8 issue but I can't go back to check out each version as I haven't retained earlier v8 installs. Have had a look at the settings.conf files and they appear to be OK, correct permissions etc.Code:[20-01-06 21:32:13.3200] Plugins::InguzEQ::Plugin::oops (544) oops: - Preferences could not be saved to C:\ProgramData\InguzEQ\Settings\0c_4d_e9_a9_9b_96.settings.conf. Don't know how to investigate so I'll stay with v7.93 for now unless someone has a solution.

How do you install the plugin? I don't see it in our repository...

That's likely due to its maxVersion being set to something like 7.* and
could easily be fixed.

This might or might not have a bearing on the issue but various of the Inguz files specify a maximum version of LMS, so I will have a look at that and post revised test versions of the files.

Thank you Michael and JohnB.
Such a simple solution - I've gone back to v8 and it's all working now. To be honest I did know about maxVersion and had checked/edited it in all the other plugins I use. Just completely forgot about Inguz, I guess because it isn't installed in the same way as other plugins. Anyway, fixed now and I've changed maxVersion to *2 x Touch

I don't know Hugh Pyle's reasoning when he developed it but for Windows - Inguz is manually installed in:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Squeezebox\server\Plugins"
With three further files (InguzDSP.exe, DSPUtil.dll and InguzDSP.exe.config) being put in:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Squeezebox\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread"
It also uses the following data folder:
"C:\ProgramData\InguzEQ"Allo Digione Signature (+LiFePo Batteries), Touch, Metrum Jade, Bryston B4 SST2, PMC OB1i speakers, HP Proliant Microserver/Ubuntu, PC/Windows 10, iPad 4, iPeng.

Did you take over maintenance of the plugin? Would it be possible/worth
to include it in the plugin repository?

That's a tricky question.
I am not a programmer and, by default, I am kind of looking after the plugin in lieu of someone more experienced.
Hugh Pyle seems to have withdrawn from the project many years ago and since then various updates were required. These were done by bobertuk and myself. Also, with the help of bobertuk, I consolidated the resources and documentation (some from the Wayback Machine), updated them where necessary, updated the installation files for Windows and Ubuntu, tested them and put the lot into accessible dropbox folders.
(I suppose would do some crash learning of Perl, HTLM5, C# at some time in the future!)Allo Digione Signature (+LiFePo Batteries), Touch, Metrum Jade, Bryston B4 SST2, PMC OB1i speakers, HP Proliant Microserver/Ubuntu, PC/Windows 10, iPad 4, iPeng.
