Michael: do you want us to start kicking the tires on this? Or would you prefer we wait a bit? I can successfully run LMS from a clone of the public/8.0 git branch, but I'm not seeing any of the local library / streaming library integration you mention in:
https://github.com/Logitech/slimserv...4c7e7c10f7839b
..i.e. even though I have my Spotify account configured in your Spotty plugin, I'm not seeing any of my Spotify artists or albums show up intermingled with the local content.

You need the plugin online music library integration as well.

OK, added the Online Music Library Integration plugin, rescanned, restarted LMS, the integration plugin reports:
There's no supported streaming service implementation available.
I really don't stream that much content. I'm much more wrapped up in my local library, so I think I'll leave this discussion to folk who have more invested in this kind of integration and who will likely do a better job than me in getting this working.
That said, it's *really* gratifying to see you guys continue to keep LMS relevant by adding new features like this.

Have you tried installing from the nightly builds rather than git? Pretty sure it should work even without the "online music service integration" plugin. Are you running Spotty and not the old Spotify plugins?
Edit. Never mind I see you are using Spotty.

Definitely using Spotty. I may have messed up cloning the public/8.0 git repo and the various links I use to differentiate between branches when running the git code as service via systemd. So I need to more carefully check my installation before I comment further.

You need to install the pre-release version of Spotty from my test
repository: add http://www.herger.net/slim-plugins/test.xml to the list
of repositories in Settings/Plugins. Then update Spotty.

Zowie! Will this work for tidal? Or just Spotify?

The library integration hopefully will work for TIDAL, too. But not at
this point. Right now it's Spotify and Qobuz only. As it's all still in
heavy development, and TIDAL is an "official" implementation, I
preferred to go with those plugins which I maintain as a community
developer first. I don't want to break mysb.com based services in the
process. But I'll hopefully do them eventually.
