    What Squeezebox do I have?

    Hi people

    I'm a newbie here. We're moving and in packing I've just unearthed a brand-new (NOS) squeezebox that I purchased ages ago and never used. All the box labeling etc. is 2007 and there are a flock of reference numbers on the bottom of the machine itself. PID: LZ72121 and P/N: 830-000012. I'll try to post a few pics if I can.

    So I have a few questions ...
    What is it?
    Can I use it?
    Do I need to update software etc.?

    Many thanks guys, cheers Don

    You have a Squeezebox Classic and it is perfectly usable. Get the server software at mysqueezebox.com.

    To get the most current stable Community Supported version of LMS you want to go here, it's pretty much what's supported;
    http://downloads.slimdevices.com/Log...Server_v7.9.2/
    Main system - Rock Solid with LMS 7.9.3 Official on WHS 2011 - 2 Duets and Squeeseslave
    Cabin system - Rock solid with LMS 7.9.3 Official on Win10 Pro - 1 RPi 3 Model B/Hifiberry DAC+ Pro/PiCorePlayer and Squeezeslave
    Squeezebox Boom - "At Large" player around both home and cabin
    Headphones and car - Android phone/Bluetooth w/full library on MicroSD card - PowerAmp music player app (similar to Material Skin)
