Definitely The War On Drugs is up there.
I used to think John Mayer was pretty awesome, and although I still enjoy his music (mainly the earlier albums like Room for Squares, Heavier Things, etc) I don't know if I'd consider him in this category (but TBF I have not listened to his most recent post-2010 work)...
