How to for LMS 8.0 on piCorePlayer (on PiZero)?

I would like to try the 8.0 LMS Version, but I don't know how .... :-(

    1) When I try the nightly update button within piCorePlayer, it obviously only checks within the 7.9.2 branch
    2) When I follow these instructions (as in https://www.picoreplayer.org/how_to_upgrade_lms.shtml):
    Code:
    1. Access piCorePlayer via ssh
    2. $ cd /tmp
    3. $ wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pi.../lms-update.sh
    4. $ chmod 755 lms-update.sh
    5. $ sudo ./lms-update.sh --mm 7.9.2 -s -r -u
    I ony get:
    Code:
Performing manual check for update link, Current Version is: 8.0 r1578996832.
    Connecting to www.mysqueezebox.com (34.244.198.169:80)
    tmp.r6Rc53 100% |********************************| 2 0:00:00 ETA
Revision 8.0 r1578996832 is the latest. No Update Needed.
    But I am still on 7.9.2 - 1578996832 @ Tue Jan 14 12:21:10 CET 2020;
also the above quoted version of 8.0 does not match the version i see in http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.0; which is 1579212373

Is there a relatively easy way to do this, or am I asking too early?

In step 5 above, you need to change 7.9.2 to 8.0.0
    Server - LMS 8.0.0 Pi4B 4GB/Flirc case/pCP 6.1.0 18K library, playlists & LMS cache on SSD (ntfs)
    Study - Pi3B+/pCP 5.0.0/pi screen/HiFiBerry DAC+/jivelite,
    Lounge - Pi2/pCP 5.0.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5
    Dining Room - Squeezebox Boom
    Garage - Squeezebox Touch > Edifier R980T

    Spares - 1xTouch, 1xSB3, 1xRadio, 7xRPi

Sorry, I should have noted that: I did that change and the result was the one I quoted.

Did you try it and it worked for you?

    Works for me.

That said I had a moment of confusion, too. The update would first check
for an update download url in /tmp/slimupdate/update_url. That file is
created by the installed LMS. Make sure that file does not exist any
more before you try to update.

Uh, oh... I just saw that all 8.0 builds but the .deb files have
disappeared from the downloads site. I've seen this a few days ago
already, but thought this was an accident of some kind. But it seems to
repeat itself. I'll have to see with IT what's wrong there. I'm going to
kick off new builds. Please check

    http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nig...ex.php?ver=8.0

before you try next time. There should be more than a dozen files, in
    particular the noCPAN tarball.

You might find LMS on RPi0 a bit slow though.

I am actually very happy with it and also suprised how well it works!
(This is my 'vacation setup' with a very small library and one player only with main focus on streaming podcasts, radio and Spotify and sometimes also Shairport use)

If I recollect right, performance improved a lot when is unchecked 'noswap' in the piCore bootcodes.
As system is likely not running in RAM anymore, I also use Shutdown GPIO to start / stop the player & LMS.

This all works very nicely - thanks again to you guys for developing & maintaining pCP!
