Not sure if I added my statistics to the old thread. Iíll have to have a look. Canít believe Iíve been streaming music with Slim Devices since about 2004. Started off with a SB3 then switched to a Transporter. Transporter still going well and music still sounding great.

More than 13000 Artists? Does that include Composers etc?

Iím assuming it DOES include composers. Personally I wish it didnít but when playing music using iPeng as well as the artist name appearing on screen I get Composer appearing as well.

What settings do you have in settings/my music? You can change that behaviour.

With libraries as large as many of us have I wonder if we are really listeners or listener/collectors.

I have been more in the collector category but trying to move in the other direction and it is hard !

Both for me. If I like an artist, I like to own as much of their catalog as possible. But I do listen to what I collect. Fortunately, my life is setup so that I can listen to music 10 hours a day (or more!). That said, some things I collect I listen to once. Other things I listen to a lot.

Spotify has really reduced my buying cadence, but I still buy meaningful stuff for the collection (like garym said, if I like an artist I make sure to support them, plus I like their stuff in my real library).

My library is a mix of CD rips and Flacs made from Vinyl with the odd download. I like to have complete artist collections.

I listen most days for 7+ hours but have two forms of listening.
During the day I usually start off choosing an album from New Music and then let LastMix/DSTM do its stuff. This is sometimes background music and sometimes I listen seriously.
During the evening my listening is totally serious and I generally curate my own playlist starting from wherever the mood takes me.
