How large is your local music library 2020?

Follow Up to Erland's original 2012 Poll... Interested to see how much people's libraries have grown...

    Original 2012 Poll is Here.

    My Current Library (Jan 2020):

    Total Tracks: 46,494 +10,700*
    Total Albums: 3,843
    Total Artists: 4,300
    Total Genres: 300
    Total Playing Time: 3171:08:02

    * Tracks in separate library as awaiting tagging tidy up or editing/cleaning before being added to (main) library - 85% are old 320k MP3s, so very low priority.

    In July 2012 mine was:

    Total Tracks: 27,260
    Total Albums: 2,127
    Total Artists: 791
    Total Genres: 108
    Total Playing Time: 1849:56:27

    January 2020:

    Total Tracks: 112,414
    Total Albums: 8,123
    Total Artists: 16,114
    Total Genres: 63
    Total Playing Time: 9838:49:00

Don't have this info from 2012. But from April 2014, I know I had:

    Total Tracks: 79,420

So an increase of 32,994 tracks. Primarily purchased and ripped CDs, with a handful of downloaded digital files. That's like a CD a day for the last 6 years. Hmmm. Seems high, but I do buy a lot. And the last 6 years has seen a lot of purchased box sets. (Big Dylan boxes, the 38 disk Woodstock box, Grateful Dead Dave's Picks subscription, GarciaLive volumes, etc.).

    And Your July 2012 Post:

With my about 70,000 tracks, I'd say I've heard 99.9% at least once, although there are some CDs that I've listened to only once and never again.

Thanks. Interesting. By the way, I don't think I've added as many different artists as the numbers above suggest. I think the way artists were reported back in my 2013 LMS (maybe only album artists?) is different from my current 7.9.2 LMS.

Yes - look at my numbers in post #1; a 544% increase in artist count, from 791 to 4,300... Not as impressive as your 877% increase though.
