I'm a bit at a loss, really. I've been doing this for more than a
decade, like many others, too. It should just work. From reading your
log file it looks as if it didn't find some of the files which should
    live in LMS' CPAN folder.

I've ran from git on Ubuntu before, so I thought it would be trivial to get it working on Windows 10 as well. Funny thing is: I've installed the WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) on my machine, installed Ubuntu LTS 16.04, and behavior is similar
Being a bit strapped for time (working two jobs, moving house, ...) I'll pause my endeavors to get testing library integration a couple of weeks, to when I can get a proper test machine up and running again.
    Thanks for your time!

Solved it I had an epiphany and ran git as administrator as opposed to a "normal" user and now it's all working as it should. Let the testing begin
