I have it working, and my initial impression is that this is going to be a very cool feature Michael.
Searching by artist name, my Spotify albums appear ... very nice indeed. However, when I select "More" for an album, I don't see that the album is coming from Spotty rather than my own local library; it would be useful to see that kind of info for the album.
If I drill down and then select "More" for a track on a Spotify album, then I see the genre has been set to "Spotify" - so then I know. Of course, once playing an album from Spotify, the bitrate will show as 320k.
From my perspective, I think what is going to make this a really powerful feature is if it can ultimately work for Qobuz. My local library is 100% FLAC, and so is everything I play on Qobuz.
I usually don't play albums on Spotify, rather I like the service for it's extensive library of playlists, which I find very nice when working. For example, right now I am listening to "Cozy Acoustic Morning" while sipping my latte. I don't know if my usage of streaming services is a typical case.Living Room: SB Touch + DIY PSU > CI Audio VDA.2 DAC + VAC.1 PSU > VRX.1 cables > Emotiva XSP-1 Gen 2 preamp + XPA-DR2 amp > Blue Jeans cables > B&W 804 speakers

Spotty testing: something I noticed, and I should have seen this sooner, is that the Spotify "Genres and Moods" list is coming up empty! The other Spotify lists look correct.
I don't see anything in the log that indicates a problem related to this, that particular list is just not being populated.
When I start the git cloned slimserver however, I do see the following, which I do not see when starting the conventional non-git slimserver and Spotty plugin:
