Which leads to the inevitable question: are there tools to aid plugin
    development? The information at
    http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph...elopment_tools seems a bit
    old...

I could manage to get Peter's mkrepo.pl script going, but it is in need of
a substantial overhaul. (I may be willing to rewrite it but ask first...)

    Where did you find it?

I myself don't know much of tools for Plugin development... I'm using my
own variant of a script to bundle the plugin. But repository file setup
    etc. is all manual.

Since noone has done it yet I'll rework it.

    It's a pity...

I have created a repo on Github:

    https://github.com/sciurius/LMS-Plugin-tools

It contains a totally revised and revamped version of the mkrepo.pl
program, originally written by Peter Watkins.

    Feedback is welcome.
