    Hello,
    Periodically I am unable to play anything on my SqueezeAmp (1.719-16). It shows up as a player in LMS (7.9.3), but when I try to play a track the song immediately shows that is has completed playing (i.e. if it is a 4:00 track it goes from 0:00 directly to 4:00). Sometimes I am able to fix the issue by changing to playing a radio station stream and then going back to the track (FLAC). The Telnet output when I run into this issue is as follows:

    The only way to recover is to unplug and replug in the SqueezeAmp. I can't seem to find a common thread to when this happens. Sometimes I go a week without seeing the issue, other times its within hours or restarting.

    Any ideas or other troubleshooting details I can provide?

    Parametric equalizer

    Where are the frequency values available in the player's LMS "Audio" settings defined? I have some very specific settings for some speakers I picked up, that I might try with these instructions... or I'll just approximate them with what's there. Best would be editing the frequency spread.

    Never had EQ available in a player's settings before. Very handy!

    It's a 10-bands graphic equalizer and there is no other settings than the one you see in the UI

    Oh.. it says "parametric" though.

    Also my bad it's not under "Audio", it's under "ESP32 settings".

    I'll have to tinker with the server-side EQ'ing sometime

    Last SqueezeAMPs

    I have now just 4 SqueezeAMP boost left from official build (unless you use battery, there is no difference with he basic). Thanks to all of you who bought one!
    I'll keep a couple of extra for my own consumption, but these 4 are the last available to grab, let me know!

    Dear all - I've now sold the last SqueezeAMP, so it's definitively out.

    TAS Register Access

    I connected my SqueezeAmp to my Klipsch Hersey's, and would like to modify the volume registers to lower the volume from 0 db. I've added the recommended data to dac_config...

    model=TAS57xx,bck=33,ws=25,do=32,sda=27,scl=26,mut e=14:0

    and am trying to figure out what the i2c address of the amp is. During bootup, I see these messages...

    I (3089) DAC core: DAC uses I2C port:0, sda:27, scl:26
    W (3089) DAC core: I2C read failed
    I (3089) TAS575x/8x: Detected TAS @0x4c

    When I add ,i2c=76 (or just leave it blank) to the end of the dac_config statement, I get a bunch of i2c driver not installed errors

    Any suggestions? fw: SqueezeAmp.16.710.master-cmake, mode: SqueezeAMP

    If you are not afraid of soldering, you can also lower the gain of the Class-D audio amplifier in the TAS5780M from 26dB to 20dB, by changing a resistor on the SqueezeAMP PCB.
    The resistor that you need to change is R13. With the existing value of 750kOhm, the gain of the amplifier is 26dB. When you replace R13 with a resistor of 100kOhm, the gain will become 20dB. Lowering the gain of the audio amplifier will also reduce the noise level at the speaker outputs of SqueezeAMP, assuming that the output noise level is dominated by the residual noise at the outputs of the audio DACs in front of the audio amplifiers.

    Quote from the datasheet of the TAS5780M: "A gain setting of 20 dB is recommended for nominal supply voltages of 13 V and lower, while a gain of 26 dB is recommended for supply voltages up to 26.4 V. Table 15 shows the voltage required at the SPK_GAIN/FREQ pin for various gain and switching scenarios as well some example resistor values for meeting the voltage range requirements."

    Some time ago I have changed resistor R13 from 750K to 100K, and I can confirm that this resulted in a reduction in gain. The result is that you need to set the volume control higher to get the same sound pressure as before.

    You have to use the I2S version of the build, not the SqueezeAMP version (this one is locked) and then set all parameters in dac_config according to https://github.com/sle118/squeezelite-esp32#squeezeamp *BUT* you can't use model=TAS57xx because then dac_controlset is ignored. You have to use a generic model=I2S and then enter all init sequences in dac_controlset. FYI, here is what I use
