That is a great idea! You will find some examples in this thread, but no Sonos yet though.

There are many examples. @daduke has been very creative on that scene...

Personally, my go-to portable speaker is now a pair of outdoor Wall Mount Yamaha purchased at Costco some years ago, fitted with a SqueezeAmp. Typically, the amplifier is encased in either speaker, wired internally to the cross over (or to the speaker if full range), and the other channel is sent through what would have normally been the speaker connectors.

It says "authentication failed". And after that I see no more AP coming at all.

Maybe Squeezeamp tries to tell me something, by blinking green long + green short, short pause... in a loop

Should I only use the recovery partition from the httpd build, or also the rest (apart from squeezelite)?

And thanks for all support, helping a newbee with flashing. Feeling like flash gordon
One thing to keep in mind is that the new WiFi credentials would only be saved after a successful connection to the other network. A flashing LED might be an indication of that (i.e. that the WiFi won't connect). If you have a serial connection, you could observe what exactly is happening when you save. If it's a bug, that'll help me identify it and implement a fix.

As far as flashing goes, you can flash the app alone. And I misguided you. The best recovery branch is actually master-cmake as I ported all my httpd code there and more. I would probably eliminate all httpd traces so I don't do this mistake in the future

It is more than doable and a useless but very cool idea!

Just for the fun. A way of turning old radio cassette player into Squeezebox without opening up the case or a visible 2nd box.
I do agree that it is close to being useless.

If it's too recycle, then it does have some merit; who am I to judge, since I did keep 2 tape decks from the 1980's.

To get this working, you could take an old wired cassette adapter and fit a Wrover module with a small 3.3v battery and a cheap I2S headphone adapter which you can buy on Ali or some other online shop. With the right kind of battery, you might have a chance. Post some pictures here!

hi, now I finally got to add the serial terminal (GND + RX + TX) while booting the master-cmake build v0.0.5-v4.0-SqueezeAmp4MBFlash-master-cmake. The interface looks much nicer, but I get interesting stuff in the log "Guru Meditation Error" when I try to OTA. Any chance there is an AMIGA stuck in my squeezeamp?

    Here is the log:

After this, the web GUI blinks a small pop up text, stating "System started" over and over again.

I hope I copied the right things from the log. If not, no problem I have everything setup to make another try!

    Regarding connecting serial for logging

when connecting through serial, is it true ONLY GND + TX+ RX is needed? Yes!

But what about 3.3V? It must not be connected, at the same time, when connecting 12V ?

Just to be on the safe side...

Any preference terminal program for windows?
Putty seemed not to be able to show all characters?
