    I wanted to take up the topic again :-)
    does anyone else have a rotary encoder configuration that works?

    By the way, I'm thinking about getting a SqueezeliteESP32 in one of these speakers:
    Soundcore Motion+
    DOSS SoundBox XL
    I am still looking for a possibility for a small portable garden system

    To not be disappointed, I would choose a speaker, which can 'naturally' create a healthy bass.
    These tiny speakers nowadays get their bass-performance from some digital signal processing in their Amps, specifically engineered for these speakers.
    If you disable the internal amp and hook up an external Amp (like SqueezAmp), which does not replicate this, you get probably a bit tinny sound.
    Therefor I would recommend speakers with a bit larger enclosure.

    I use JBL Control1 Speakers and have SqueezeAmp mounted inside. I am very happy with the sound. Bass-Performance is not mind blowing, but good. The overall sound is very neutral and I really love it (I listen to Jazz and Rock).
    This setup became my main system in my homeoffice.

    If you use SqueezeliteESP as an input for the std. internal Amp of the speaker, then the above does not play a role, of course....
    LMS 8 on Open Peak Joggler (running Chills Jivelite on Joggler)
    Player: 5 x Squeezebox Classic, Slimp3, SqueezeAmp
    2nd System: PiCorePlayer (and LMS) on Pi Zero;

    Hi,

    i wouldn't have replaced the internal amplifier with SqueezAmp. These speakers usually have an aux in which i used with SqueezeliteESP32 (Wrover+DAC).
    i also built my SqueezAmp into a loudspeaker, but rather as a fixed solution / not Portable.
