    Bluetooth not working

Back to one of my Nemesis - SqueezeAMP and Bluetooth... this time with a speaker

I was using development.148.master-cmake, SqueezeAMP 8MB Flash, I can configure SqueezeAMP to connect to my new bluetooth speaker successfully but when I try and play the SqueezeAMP restarts and then loops connecting to speaker, tries to play, restarts, and so on.

I've not been using BT for a while, been testing an external speaker setup using the i2S built in amp, but I did recall when I last tried my bluetooth headphones they did not work either.

So I went backwards through the releases and found that 142 is the last release that bluetooth works for me.

    Same for anyone else?

This is what Telnet shows for each failed attempt on 148:

    I (8926) bt_app_source: Device: SoundCore 2
    I (8926) bt_app_source: A2DP pairing timeout: 1000
    [00:20:11.275534] _check_lame_header:163 gapless: skip: 2257 samples: 9202200 delay: 1105 padding: 1175
    [00:20:11.286700] mad_decode:247 setting track_start
    telnet event: TELNET_EV_WILL
    telnet event: TELNET_EV_SUBNEGOTIATION
W (10426) bt_app_source: A2DP Connect time out! Setting state to Unconnected.

When I revert to 142 no other changes are made and it connects and plays immediately no problem.

Configuration is done one the Audio+LMS page of the web UI

    Select Bluetooth Button

Enter SoundCore 2 into the box below and I also change the Player name to SqueezeAMP

    Produces these commands:

    On 142 - squeezelite -b 500:2000 -d all=info -C 30 -W -n "SqueezeAMP" -o "BT -n 'SoundCore 2'" -R -Z 192000

    On 148 - squeezelite -b 500:2000 -d all=info -C 30 -W -n "SqueezeAMP" -o "BT -n 'SoundCore 2'" -Z 192000

    Save and reboot

This morning the GUI seemed very unhappy so I started from scratch again, using ESP32 Download tool I erased all and loaded 142 recovery from scratch then loaded 142 squeezelite firmware, so everything as per defaults, added the Bluetooth speaker in as above but left the player name as squeezelite... this works fine... Attached is the Config file for this 142Config.txt.

I then went into updates and selected 148 SqueezeAMP8MBFlash and clicked on Flash, it completed an OTA update to 148 rebooted and connected to speaker OK

But I have a red message in Status - Squeezelite Options: invalid option "-?"

After pressing play in LMS music does not start (local MP3 track) and SqueezeAMP reboots just once

    Attached file 142on148Config.txt for this.

Then in 148 web UI changed the Audio to I2S save and apply, SqueezeAMP reboots and is in I2S mode, music plays OK.

back to 148 Web UI Audio and change to Bluetooth, leave player name as default enter SoundCore 2 for speaker to connect to - save and apply

SqueezeAMP reboots and connects to speaker, shows BT mode, No red status messages, 148Config.txt attached for this.

Play in LMS and no music SqueezeAMP reboots (just the once again, last night it was doing it constantly)

Enabled Telnet and this message repeatedly being displayed:

    I (52176) bt_app_source: Device: SoundCore 2
    I (52176) bt_app_source: A2DP pairing timeout: 1000
W (53676) bt_app_source: A2DP Connect time out! Setting state to Unconnected.
    I (54176) bt_app_source:

Go back into update, select version 142 and downgrade to 142, process completes SqueezeAmp reboots, and without me doing any thing else it connects to speaker and I can play music OK. 142DowngradeConfig.txt attached for this state and telnet output:
