    Can my Boom be saved?

How I wish Logitech didn't discontinue Boom.

It was a product slightly ahead of its time with bi-amp audio, low
    distortion, streaming, add on apps.

I personally think it's a product for right now.

AM broadcasts are more difficult to receive because of compact fluorescent
lighting and some LED lighting and switching power supplies.

FM is still good, but many have extra streams which my FM radio won't
receive. But I can get them with my Boom.

Shortwave is mostly gone, but I can still listen to BBC, Swiss
International and others. Radio Havana Cuba is still on Shortwave but
something is always going wrong with RHC transmissions like low and
    distorted audio.

Phileas asked this question "I’m currently wondering about other options
for a bedside radio with good sound quality but more functionality" and I'd
    like to know too.

Put a battery, cellphone connectivity, and a handle of your Boom and you'd
have a boom box that would be amazing!

    Regards,

    David

I only need a static bedside “solution” - for mobile use a smartphone+‘phones is perfect.

I was about to start a new thread asking about using a Bluetooth adaptor so I could use it with a Google Hub.
