Do you have any firewalls installed? If so try disabling the firewall to test.

Windows defender can also cause issues.

    Norton Internet Security.
Historically this product has caused problems for some folk (search Norton Internet Security and logitechmedia server). Free Avast is another such problem causer.

If comfortable with doing so, why not uninstal NIS , reboot and see if things work properly (there used to be an unistall tool) I have found Windows AV and firewall effective enough, over the years.

Also check you ports are OK

    The browser's cache?

No, wipe the browser's cache. Use a different browser.

The last part of your server.log looks perfectly fine. 7.9.2 seems to be
    running without any hiccup.

Ok, clearing the cache restored the functionality of the interface, and allows playing albums and files in a folder.

The long list of Favorites that was under Favorites, though, is still gone. There's only one entry referring to "on squeezebox.com" but those aren't the ones. How can I get that long list of favorites back?

Thanks for your help, and for the help of everyone else who contributed. Much appreciated!!

Try restarting LMS (maybe more than once, if necessary). You can do this from the control panel

At what point did they disappear? During a LMS update? Migration?

But before you updated to 7.9.2 you went back to a restore point in Windows 7 and 7.7.6 didn't work either so I am not sure you can blame 7.9.2.

I don't know enough about the technical side of this to be sure of the cause, my main concern is, is there a way to get those favorites back?
