    Remote for SLIMP3

I have (as part of my collection) a SLIMP3, I use it with iPeng on my iPhone.

Will the Squeezebox remote controls work with this unit? Sometimes I'd like to use a dedicated remote (instead of iPeng) and I can't find the original, and a touchscreen remote I've programmed for it likes to lose settings.

All all the Squeezebox remote controls compatible with one another? I tried to find this in the wiki but I couldn't find a remote control cross reference.

While not 100% certain from the wiki ... it looks likely.

If your version is very very old then maybe it only recognises the JVC DVD IR controls. However, if it had upgradeable firmware and was upgraded then I would expect it to work with regular Slim remotes.

IIRC SlimMP3 didn't have firmware so used "standard" DVD remotes. I think both Sony and JVC worked. I think you need to get a universal remote and set it for a very old Sony / JVC DVD player

    Remote for SLIMP3

Yes, any SB remote control should work. Some of the buttons have changed
over the years, but the basic control has remained the same.

The wiki page that I linked to says this about SliMP3 ... would someone like to check / correct it.

"originally shipped with Sony RM-V201 universal remote user-programmed to JVC DVD command set; later shipped with 30 button IR Remote"
