    Build LMS with staticperl?

Interesting pointer! I've actually been looking into tools like what
we're using to build the Windows distribution, but for Mac. Apple has
announced that they'll pull Perl (and other scripting languages) from
future macOS versions. We'll have to find a solution for shipping Perl
by that time. This might actually be an option! Thanks for the pointer.

    Build LMS with staticperl?

I'm playing with another WD Passport Wireless PRO and really want LMS on it for travel. While reviewing the state of play out there on getting any perl to run on the minimal linux on there I came across staticperl (https://metacpan.org/pod/staticperl) which sounds like a fun way of pre-building standalone perl apps.

Obviously there is no immediate need to do this for real LMS (but hey, it might help in specific arches) but anyone tried this with LMS at all?
