    Scanner speed on Win10

I switched from Mac to Win10 on a NUC for LMS.

    - Scanning speed (on faster hardware) is much slower compared to my old Mac.
    - My music is stored in several sets of Media folders and I used to scan only the folder which has changed or added files, maybe 5 minutes and it was done. If I scan only one Media folder on Win10 the library is reduced (some albums are missing). The solution is rescanning the entire library which takes one hour or more.

I probably overlooked something, no idea what's the cause.

    I have media folders like
    d:\music
    d:\music2
    d:\music3

A partial scan of only d:\music results in deleting all the tracks from d:\music2

changed the folder to d:\music\ with an additional \
after a full rescan tried a single media folder scan and now it doesn't delete all other tracks.

Looked like this is the solution, the bad news is the additional \ isn't persistant. LMS removes it after a restart and wants a full rescan...

What happens if you do a "new and changed" scan of all the music folders?

That works normally and that's what I (must) use. It takes much longer compared to a single folder and the single folder scan worked on a Mac.

Any difference between the WeBUI Settings/ Advanced/Performance on Mac and Win10 ?

Any security software scanning data accesses ?

Only one media folder is causing the trouble. If I rescan D:\Music all tracks from d:\Music2 are deleted! Which can be fixed with a full rescan.

I'll try renaming the folder, if that doesn't work maybe reinstalling LMS.
