cant add URL to mysqueeze, radio shows not connected?

    trying to add

    https://player.radio.com/listen/stat...2#.XXCRTy5KiM8

    that changes in browser to:

    https://www.radio.com/roqofthe80s/listen
    '
to my squeeze radio. I cannot add it using the add button, it does nothing. Also in mysqueeze, my player shows as a squeeze radio but it says 'not connected', yet I can add apps to it from the mysqueeze dashboard as well as have it access my music library on my laptop. Its a wireless connection but does same on my wireless. Can I add this manually to radio through radios menu? Cant find that option. its a CBS radio station and I added CBS as app when it advised me to on the mysqueeze interface. Mysqueeeze shows the 2 radio stations but I cant get either to do anything. I hit the heart icon to add to favorites but the radio shows no favorites in the mysqueeze folder. Seems to be a disconnect somewhere. I never added the radio manually to the mysqueeze interface, it just appeared when I registered the radio via the radio controls. totally new to this, but can follow directions pretty good.

You can't stream https resources through mysb.com. You'll have to
install LMS to make this happen.

The ability to add an URL to TuneIn (Radios) has been missing for quite some time.

You can add a Ĺvalidĺ playable URL as a Favorite in MySqueezebox and/or using LMS/Favorites. And, iPeng.

The URLs that you noted are not what I find to be useable as a URL. If you use the Radio.com app, you use the app to navigate to/select the station(s) you want. If instead you want to use a URL I have found that the following URLs for these favorites of mine. These are stations that used to be CBS and were sold along with the Radio.com app to Entercom. I think you can glean from these what URL might work with the station(s) you want:

    http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/asx/KNXAM.asx
    http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/asx/KFRCHD2.asx
    http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/KCBSAM.pls

Instead, if you were to use the Radio.com app to get your station playing, then I think that using the SB Radio controls would allow you to make a favorite.

Let me know if this helps.

If you can access your music library you must be connected to LMS not mysqueezebox.com. You can't connect to both at the same time. As Michael said add your radio station using the *Tune In" box in LMS.

Wont take either URL. Probably not the right protocol which sucks because I bought this SB radio for this one station stream as the SB was cheaper than a component HD tuner. They broadcast this as their HD2 channel locally. Ive found a few native SB stations that are similar but not exactly what this one offered, ie. my old DJ overdubs that I grew up with. Best Buy (insignia) and Sangean have cheap HD radios but Ill hold out for a component Sangean HD tuner.

Get a pi and install picoreplayer (https://www.picoreplayer.org/) and activate only the lms part, you don't need the squeezelite player part. Gives you way more control over the devices and would probably solve your streaming issue.
SqueezeBoxes: 1x Transporter (Living room) 1x SB2 (shed), 1x Radio (Kitchen), 1x Boom (Dining room), 1x piCorePlayer (jacuzzi), 1x piCorePlayer (Garden) 1x OSMC + Squeezelite (Movie room), 1x Touch (Study 2), few spare unit's
Server: LMS on Pi3 7.9.1. on PcP 3.21
Network: AVM Fritzbox, Netgear Smart Switch 24p, 3x Ubiquity

Radio implements all the protocols for the above streamtheworld URLs- I don't think https is the issue .

What do you mean "wont take" - saving an URL as Favorite is not the same as playing. What are you doing and what messages do you see ?

These URLs are geo blocked - could be the issue.

This URL works as a Favorite when addded to MySqueezebox or to LMS/../Favorites

    http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/asx/KROQHD2.asx

    try it!

    Rock On!!
    ================
    edit to add:

TuneIn reports, as usual with all CBS/Entercom stations, "Can't Play This No More" and offers it's own station, New Wave World. Short listen: Cars, The Cure, Madness, U2 . So, there's the music but not your DJs.

But the URL above for KROQ works just fine. Let the Good Times Roll!
