    One of the vocal licks that has stuck with me forever (52 years!) was Mary Hopkins' chorus on Those Were The Days. Overproduced by Paul McCartney, but it's stood up remarkably well. I recently looked it out because it came back to me as an ear worm.

    Much better pure singer than contemporaries like Marianne Faithful (who I love for her more recent work) and Lulu.
