Yes. That's a side-effect of my not using an intermediate service somewhere in the cloud to store your path/auth details. They go straight into Alexa and the only way to refresh is unlink and re-link. It's trivial to detect a changed tunnel on your local machine, but there's nowhere in the Amazon universe to push that to.

The good news is that the subscription stays active if you re-link as it's tied to your Amazon account and not to the skill instance.

EDIT: The ngrok autoupdate feature added later removes the need to re-link the skill when an ngrok tunnel name changes on the free ngrok plan.

Will you announce an update here, or will it just apply automagically ?

Both ! I'll describe it here and anybody with the skill will get it automatically without any action. If I just change the code and not the interaction model then re-certification is not required. Any new commands will require re-certification and then the version number update but that is also automatically pushed to anybody using the skill.

I'm testing a little longer than expected on a few things but will definitely update this weekend.

Cool. I have only a few that are missing from your list. I can definitely recommend The Sessions series (I, II, III and IV up to now, but more to expect), which is a collection of encores recorded in recent concerts.

Small annoyance. If I ask Alexa to play an album she does what I ask but also sets the player to repeat. Is this intended?

Yes. It’s mentioned in the docs.

EDIT: This 'feature' was later removed - player shuffle and repeat modes are untouched by the skill unless an explicit command related to shuffle or repeat is issued

As promised, a new updated version in now live. You 'get' it automatically so no need for any special action. Here's a summary of the changes:

    * If you drop an ngrok tunnel and the skill cannot connect, the message will be more helpful in explicitly telling you the ngrok error message.
    * Matching of tags with numbers (e.g. thousand vs 1000) is now very much improved.
    * If you try to add a track to a playlist and it's already in that playlist, you'll be told so and it won't add.
    * Spoken responses referencing a player name will now say "on the ... player" instead of "in the ..." (which made sense only if the player was named after a room).
    * There's more flexibility around player names not matching a room barename.

A caveat with the player-names change is that it will only work well on non-barenames for commands that you don't issue as a 'one-shot' but use in a 'session'. Explanation:
If you have a player called "Cherished Transporter" and you say "Alexa, tell Media Server to play the album Abacab by Genesis on the Cherished Transporter player", chances are it will not work.
If you first say "Alexa, open Media Server", wait for her to say "Say a Media Server command", and THEN say "Play the album Abacab by Genesis on the Cherished Transporter player" it should work fine. This is an Amazon quirk - don't blame me Single-word deviations from barenames might fare better as one-shots, e.g. Touch or Black.

Once you have assumed the player with the non-barename friendlyname, then one-shots will work from the assuming Echo.

For the avoidance of doubt, there's no change for existing barename players and they will always work exactly as they used to, both in one-shots and in sessions.

My recommendation remains unchanged - you should make your life easy and work with barenames. But for the die-hards here's a workable (if less than optimal) solution.
