Using piCorePlayer with Audio Research USB3 DAC

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone is currently using an Audio Research DAC for USB with piCorePlayer. I have the updated USB3 card which works fine with a Sonore ultraRendu.

I expanded the output section and one by one, tried all the suggesting settings, but none of them will sync and illuminate one of the sample rate LEDs.

    Thanks!

Well it took a little longer than I thought.

Ran the log and don't find anything that explicitly mentions Audio Research or DAC8.

One detail is I recently performed an in situ update to pcP 8.0 thinking that might help and now get a different list of output options - none of which work as well. When I try manually entering common values like "hw:CARD=DAC, DEV=0" then Squeezelite won't start. Oddly, the output options are seemingly headphone related.

Check the output from dmesg (in pCP diagnostics ) to see if there are any clues

    Not looking good

The DAC 8's USB driver software provides your computer with special high-
speed audio drivers not supplied by MS Windows or Mac OS. Audio Research's
USB drivers are specially.designed to deliver low jitter 'bit-perfect' data transfer

That's where I started. No help.

I run MacOS and am having trouble logging into RPI4. In terminal mode, I tried:

ssh pi@{ip address} and got password prompt.

entered "raspberry" and got "Permission denied"
