ALSA Linux driver designed to provide high performance RAVENNA/AES67 support for the Linux ecosystems
Could the this be installed to piCore ?
I think that Ravenna protocol is a very interesting evolution in digital audio! No?
OK the Merging dacs are very expensive but may be in some time in the future other manufacturers adopt this option!
I would like to hear the thoughts of the more knowing for the matter!!!
Running the server software on Linux / Unix variants.

You could take a look at their site and see if the wording has changed ... i.e. not limited to Windows for the free public version.

I didn't know about this post.
I suppose not....
It would be nice though. No?
If the Merging / Ravenna driver is installed on x86 cpu the driver is detected by LMS.
The playback work in the LMS software but on the NADAC there is no connection with LMS.
I think that the NADAC firmware should allow LMS to be connected (as Roon)

This driver has to do with LMS or with squeezelite?
I thought that if it was installed and selected in the piCore/squeezelite settings then piCore would communicate with a Ravenna DAC.
To the OP ... can you explain what you would like to achieve?
e.g. which device playing ... where ... and sync to what (if anything)?

Well for now I do not want to achieve anything.
I don't own any device that uses Ravenna protocol.
I just wanted to open a discussion for the matter and hear the opinions of others about it.
Sorry if my post was confusing.

More details:
-The Ravenna drivers his installed on a motherboard smilar to an Intel NUC
-The driver appear in ALSA Mixer
-The driver is detected as a Squezelite device
-In LMS, the Ravenna player show up and playback (cursor moving)
-In the NADAC there is no selection for LMS or the SnakeOIL Server
-The NADAC used Bonjour as a mechanism to detect the server and show up on the network.
-The SnakeOIL Server is not detected in Aneman (the Audio Netwok Manager)
-My guess is that Squeezelite or the NADAC (or both) need a discovery mechanism that are compatible so they could be detected on the network.
