    TuneIn Podcasts

A feature I've implemented for Material 1.1 is the ability to search for podcasts via iTunes, or GPodder, and also to add podcast URLs. Podcasts can also be found via "Radio / Podcasts" - which lists Podcasts via TuneIn. The default webUI allows these to be stored as favourites. How does it get the URL? In material I only allow an item to be stored as a favourite if it has a URL or favorite_url - which these entries in TuneIn do not, so that add to favourites menu item is missing. If I can retrieve the URL, then I'd add menu items to store as favourite, or store as podcast.

Does it? I've never used TuneIn to listen to podcasts. But from the code
I believe there's absolutely no link between TuneIn and the Podcasts plugin.

Yeah, its a completely separate thing. I've never used it either - but was curious. If you look at TuneIn's podcasts, you see a heart icon in the default UI. This saves as a favourite. If you look at the favourites URL (by editing it, etc.) you can copy this URL into the podcasts app itself. I'm just not sure where it gets the favourite URL from. Not a big deal, was just thinking it'd be 'nice' to be able to favourite these (and perhaps also add to Podcasts app).

I have two or three “TuneIn podcasts” in my “TuneIn favourites”, which I occasionally use. I’ll have a better look at the implementation over the next few days, but it may be too TuneIn specific for your purpose. From memory I would have set these up using TuneIn’s web interface, not through LMS.

There is no connection with the LMS podcast app.
