    New to Raspberry PI

Are there any good threads or other sites that walk one through getting a Rasp Pi to emulate a Squeezebox player via PiCorePLayer, etc? Just looking for general advice, and possibly some step by step links.

    Thanks much!

Somehow I have collected more RPi squeezeboxes than I need, all PiCorePlayer 5.0.1 -- four of them. PM me if you are interested.

You don't need the latest and greatest Pi for a Squeezebox Player. You'll need to plan how you want to connect the Pi to your HiFi and buy an appropriate DAC card. You'll find plenty of advice here, and tinkering with Raspberry Pi boards is great fun - possibly why TimT has surplus devices!

    I have several:
Pi model 1B with a HiFiBerry DAC card
Pi Model 3 with an IQAudIO DAC and AMP, with a screen
Pi Model 3 with no DAC but with a small screen
Pi ZeroW with a PirateAudio headphone amplifier card with screen

I also run LMS on a Pi model 3.

    All these use piCorePlayer.
