linux to linux file transfer
Hi Castalla,
if you want the ease of a graphical tool; 2 suggestions.
1) use a windows based host and winscp as tool. You have to copy from linux to windows and to linux again, but for a few files....
2) install MC ( via extensions on your pcp ) , and use sftp ( F9 and right or left panel and login ) to copy from Linux to linux.
If you want to stay on the CLI, think about wget too.

Thanks for hints. I have winscp running in wine.
I'm finding the initial setup rather shambolic - too many options!
Problem one: how do I disable squeezelite permanently?
Probleem two: how do I enable lame?
Problem three: I can't get 3rd party plugins to install

has 'save to usb' gone or just moved?
Hi
I'm using beta 6 v7 on a pi4, with picoreplayer on the sd card and lms stuff on a usb flash drive. There used to be a 'save to usb' option on the main page, but it is either gone or moved in v6.
I want an external copy of my config, for when beta 7 moves to beta 8 or to release, as the in-situ upgrade option hints I will loose everything and get a fresh install.
(Or is it sufficient to take my own copy of 'mydata.tgz' and restore it back to the sd card after an upgrade? - is this recommended?)

Save to USB was so outdated it was removed. I've been concepting other ways, but it can be tricky.
I can tell you that 6.0.0 when it goes final will have some major structure changes. I'm hoping that I can manage most of it through insitu update.piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.
