Same here, perhaps an average of 1°C lower with the update. Not quite the icy blast I was expecting.

This may be a little better. The fan has to be offset because of the built in heat sink.

I have my rpi4b (4gb) connected to a monitor.

I thought to try Jivelite

The pi boots and seems to complete, I don't know if it is absolutely finished.

The monitor screen displays the verbose output and blinks every 2 seconds or so, this blink, which is not on the screen long enough for my old eyes to read says;

I think you'll find that Jivelite will not work OOTB, you'll need to edit config.txt and set the screen resolution
