I have had to make a few atemtps to connect to my Qnap NAS shared file, but got there in the end.

I just had vers=3 in the options box in my working pCP on a rpi1B and that connected fine.

On the rpi4B (4gb ram) I tried several times with different permutations before finally connecting.

Whilst playing I tried resyncing my rpi1B and now can't get that to connect .....sigh

A reboot on the rpi1B takes nearly 3 mins

    Oh well!

Hi Ronnie.....you call your "mounted" file Music (see photo), but if I use a flash drive and call my music file "steves mp3 player" - I take it this is what I should rename it to on this file (see photo) or should I rename my flash drive folder "music" like you, is there anything else significant to do here ?

Steve I'm not sure if spaces are allowed in the name, check by expanding the red word more at the top of the box.

Also make sure that you have installed the extra files (in the box above Enabled Mount Point).
If your usb is is formatted exFat then you need to enabled that as well.

I have just performed the USB firmware upgrade on a rpi4b (4gb) just running LMS.

The pi is on my desk, no case, suported by a BIC (other biro's are available) just to allow some ait to circulate underneath the board

This is the temp chart with the pi at idle

This is the reading with the pi streaming flip on a SBTouch and JB-Radio2 on a SBRadio. I mounted a qnap Nas and did an initial scran (small library) at 13.03 hrs.

No significant difference that I can see.

Same here, perhaps an average of 1░C lower with the update. Not quite the icy blast I was expecting.

I don't think idle was expected to change much. I saw a pretty big change under heavy load and lots of disk activity.....
