    Is there a possibility to read external disks with HFS+ format?
    I have a Mac and my iTunes library resides on a HFS+ volume. I am copying it to a M.2 SSD (now it has ExFAT format) with an USB enclosure which is attached to the Pi 3B+.
    When I am syncing my iTunes library to this external M.2 SSD the Mac is always synchronising all foldes with umlauts in their name because ExFAT uses another coding than HFS+. So it would be great if there is HFS+ support maybe either ExFAT and NTFS or HFS+.

    Or is HFS+ too big for this?
    There are so many stupid filesystems nowdays, most of them are glitchy, I would stick with well developed ones. NTFS or EXT3/4. ExFAT and NTFS are both supported on pCP.

    That being said, HFSplus modules should be included in pCP, I just don't have the mount helpers available.

    How are you syncing your library? If you're using rsync, there is an option (--iconv) to transcode the file names. I've successfully used "--iconv utf8-mac,utf8" to sync from my Mac to both ext3 and ExFAT.

    I am using Carbon Copy Cloner for this. I think it is using rsync internally.
    The "special" characters are on the SSD without a problem, but CCC syncs them every time although they have not changed.

    HFS+ or HFS is the filesystem Apple uses since many years. ExFAT and NTFS are normally for Windows.

    Thank you for your answer!

    randomplay tracks stopped working in "Auto Start LMS"

    When I use the "Test" button in Auto Start LMS it works, but doesn't work when I do a hard restart on the SBS. I am running in AP Mode, which was an issue back in 3.5, but not since then.

    Thanks,

    Howard

    hi Howard Passman,

    We have confirmed your issue.

    Both "Auto start favorite" and "Auto start LMS" have the same issue.

    We have found what is causing this behaviour. We need to work out how to remedy the issue.

    Thanks for reporting.

    EDIT: You can add "pcp rand" to User commands #1

    regards
    Greg

    Hi Manul,

    Yes, you should be able to use these modes. Default is tracks.

    Code:
    $ pcp rand
    $ pcp rand tracks
    $ pcp rand albums
    $ pcp rand contributors
    $ pcp rand year
    regards
    Greg

    That's exactly the situation I had before adding the iconv option to my rsync script so if CCC gives you access to the rsync options this might be worth a try. If it doesn't you could just switch to plain rsync.

    Hi Greg, I gave pcp rand in User Commands #1 a shot with no luck... Specifically pcp rand tracks and $ pcp rand tracks.

    Thanks,

    Howard
