LMS on my NAS - how to use Squeezeplay to use my PCs speakers?

I have my LMS 7.9 on my Synology NAS (DS214play) and my music files are there as well,
I play on my SB3 but would like to play the music on my Squeezeplay - to the PC and it's speakers.

I can do this if I run my LMS on my PC - but I would like to use the LMS on my NAS.

Is there a way to use Squeezeplay?

Assuming LMS is running on your NAS.

Using the Squeezeplay interface, go to My Music > Switch Library > select the library on your NAS.

    Thanks for your reply, perfect.

I can now play using the Softsqueeze interface.

When using my normal webinterface (with LMS running on NAS), the Softsqueeze player doesn't show up... I can't select it like I do when playing using LMS on my PC.
Is it possible to use this?

    Cheers & thanks

I haven't launched Softsqueeze in many years, but just confirmed that running it on my desktop PC (with LMS running on a remote server) I can select and control it via the LMS web interface. That said, the way I render Squeezebox at my PC is by using Squeezelite. Use Squeezelite-X mentioned above, or install squeezelite as a service. Runs in the background and is controlled via the web browser.

Great, I can now run Squeezeplay on my desktop PC (with LMS running on a remote server). Thank you all!

I will check out Squeezelite, but didn't it say Win10 is needed, I have Win7 only...
