Error Message Searching Tidal Via mysqueezebox.com Remote Control

    Hi there,

Long time no see. Thanks for keeping the server up and running smoothly.

When I am using the remote control on mysqueezebox.com, searching Tidal results in the following error message: "Your player is not authorized to use mysqueezebox.com." Since the typing involved is more or less the only reason for me to use the remote control, it would be nice if this could be fixed.

    Thanks and regards,

Is there anything that can be done about it?

Error Message Searching Tidal Viamysqueezebox.com Remote Control

Does this only happen when using the web player control?

And would https://www.whatsmyip.org report an ipv4 address for you?

Ok, let's try this: You're using Firefox, right? Bring up the dev tools (Extras/Web Entwickler/Netzwerkanalyse). Set filter to XHR. Do a search in Tidal. You should see a GET to an endpoint 5.x_searchterm (eg. 5.1_elvis when searching for an artist). Click that request to get the details. Check out the Cookies section. Would a "Squeezebox-player" cookie have been sent?

Yes to both questions. I'll check the developer tools now ...

The attachment showed the MAC address of my player, so I removed it. The request contains two cookies: sdi_squeezenetwork_session and Squeezebox-player.

My Firefox is heavily armed with cookie and script controls, so I just checked that a vanilla Chrome behaves just the same.
