I'm making a look a like transporter of an old philips 900 series tapedeck.
To controll Jivelite on a 3.5" screen i ordred ATmega32U4 5 V/16 MHz Module and programmed it according to this website: Buttonbox
You can assign the rotary encoders to up and down, volume up / down, what ever you want. The raspberry will see it as an extra keyboard
Just sharing, maybe you can use it in a next project

That's really cool, emulating a USB keyboard is a nice way of doing it!
I'm currently trying to get https://github.com/mmoller2k/pikeyd installed on PCP with luck, going for an arduino, or maybe even an attiny may be a better option.

That source code will only work with a PI1,2,zero, it won’t work with the PI3 or newer. As it doesn’t have the correct Peripheral base address. There are some forks with the pi3 address coded, but then it won’t support the older pies.
piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.

Please donate if you like the piCorePlayer
