Some others are struggling with that codec and I've not been able to find a solution so far. I'm waiting for one of these boards to try by myself.
    Thx for your reply.
oh no That sounds not perfect

Yes, I have followed the instructions there https://github.com/sle118/squeezelite-esp32#esp32-a1s
But I am unsure about a lot of points.
    1. The dac_config is written 3 times on the side, what is the right for me?

      dac_config: model=AC101,bck=27,ws=26,do=25,di=35,sda=33,scl=32 for ES83881
      dac_config: model=AC101,bck=27,ws=26,do=25,di=35,sda=33,scl=32
      dac_config model=ES8388,bck=27,ws=26,do=25,sda=18,scl=23,i2c= 16
    2. Did I need to put the dac_config with or without 'model=' or 'for ES83881' into the NVEditor?
    3. Should I always setup the set_GPIO to '21=amp,22=green:0,39=jack:0'?
    4. Where can I setup the mentioned 'button mapping' and could be important for the audio-output?
    5. Does a AC101 model need a 'dac_controlset' like the ES8388 one?

      And two other questions:
    6. Is there a chance to determine if I had ESP32-A1S Boards with AC101 or the ES8388 one?
    7. Can I do some simple test-audio-outputs on the device itself?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am not 100% sure about these points and I was not able to find good answers to that.

Sorry, the README is still work in progress and I've removed a couple of typos. Try the AC101 config

    set_GPIO: 21=amp,22=green:0,39=jack:0
    dac_config: model=AC101,bck=27,ws=26,do=25,di=35,sda=33,scl=32

If it does not work, the you're out of luck for now until I've figured out how to make the ES8388 to work

    Sadly no success
    So I think I had a ESP32-A1S Boards with ES8388 instead of AC101.

But I grab a Wrover out of my fun box
    Now here is a CJMCU-1334....
Found this old answer here. It was a answer to question of me Funny
    https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...l=1#post977570

It seems not in the list of the avalible DAC's of my Wrover, but with a little peace of luck I can use this until there is a fix for the ES8388 ESP32-A1S Boards.
Wrover is already flashed and running.

Is there a chance to use a normal bluetooth speaker as audio-output? If yes, how can I connect to them? How can pair them?

Yes, there is, see https://github.com/sle118/squeezelit...d#what-is-this. I can't say this is the feature we test the most, but it is there. Just set the name of the BT speaker target using the webUI, that's all

You could then solder the module like this :

    Attachment 30602

Note that the GPIOs might not be the same between the TTGO and Thingpulse. Once you have flashed the firmware (assuming you choose Squeezelite-ESP32), you can set the dac config to using the NVS editor:
    bck=33,ws=25,do=32

The important point is to identify the 3 GPIO (GPIO33, GPIO25, GPIO32) as well as the 3.3v and ground pins for power.

Alternatively, we support the following dev board with a dedicated build

    Jiiiihaaa! It is working! Working!
Got my Wrover combinded with the DAC CJMCU-1334. Then I setup the gpio in the Editor.

Amazing work guys. I will write down my notices here soon.

Is here anybody using succesfully Spotty with squeezelite-esp32?

ByTheWay: The Bluetooth connection does not work yet. I try to connect to my Soundcore Motion+, but the squeezelite-esp32 never connects

philippe_44 I see it correctly that there was now a PR for the ES8388?:
    https://github.com/sle118/squeezelit...d9cf76616825c5

It seems that releases for the ESP32-A1S do not have the support yet? I thought ES8388 was something ESP32-A1S specific.

By the way: Many thanks to all involved for this work! The project is really stunning and shows how far opensource can go!

There is no more dedicated build for A1S, see README on the github site

Perhaps I am fault, but I found no mention in the main readme.md

That means for me I need to build it for my A1S on my own? Is this easy possible with the build docker Image or not?

It's here https://github.com/sle118/squeezelite-esp32#esp32-a1s. You don't need to rebuild, just use the I2S image and add the dac_config parameter
