    BBCiPlayer (or its earlier incarnation AlienBBC) has never had any way to bookmark where "Listening" has stopped. LMS menu handling (at least for older SB players) will "remember" the last program - but the not position withing the program.

    If you are listening to a BBC podcast, then I think position can be remembered by LMS podcast.

    For many "Listen Again" programmes BBC provide segment markers which can be used to jump to a segment point within a program.

    If the plugin supported optional sign in to BBC portal then I wonder if the BBC personalised recommendation list would be useful.
    Now resolved via the new BBC Sounds plugin version 0.1.3 introduced sign-in - excellent.

    Live streams not working

    I can get the on demand streams to work and access my subscriptions on BBC Sounds but can't get anything from the live streams. Any suggestions as to what I should be checking.

    I am running LMS 7.9.3 on picoreplayer.

    Plugin versions

    BBC Sounds 1.1.0
    iPlayer 1.1.10
    BBC iPlayer extras 3.4.0

    IPlayer 1.1.10 doesn't sound right. Have you read the first post in this thread and added the repository?

    If you are taliking BBC Sounds It does not play the current broadcast programme. you need to use BBC iPlayer for that.

    Server logs is a good place to start

    LMS > Settinings > Information >scroll to the bottom

    Thanks folks.

    It was a typo I am running iPlayer 1.6.10.

    If Sounds does not run live stream that is fine I can stop chasing my tail trying to fix it. This might have already been said further up the thread but it was too long to read every post.

    I suppose I can use the Sounds app to check the schedule then play it in iPlayer.

    iPlayer and iPlayer Extras working fine.

    I see what you mean now. It looks like the Sounds link is always to the on demand stream even for the current programme.

    Latest version of Sounds has its own playback capability now. It is progressing fast. I'm sure the issue will be addressed but give the developer time.

    Morning All

    Iím not sure if this question should be posted here or in the PiCorePlayer thread.

    Iíve recently started listening to Radio 3 more regularly and notice that I donít get the now playing text showing on any of my devices. This in itself isnít a massive issue but it makes me wonder why not when other users certainly report that it is working. Iíve read back through this thread and have all the necessary settings switched on in the BBC iPlayer plugin.

    My Pi4 server runs LMS via pCP 6.1.0 with the following infoÖ

    Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.4 - 1603273368 @ Thu Oct 22 04:21:56 CEST 2020
    Hostname: piCoreLMS64
    Server IP Address: 192.168.0.16
    Server HTTP Port Number: 9000
    Operating system: piCore - EN - utf8
    Platform Architecture: armv7l-linux
    Perl Version: 5.28.0 - arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int
    Audio::Scan: 1.02
    IO::Socket::SSL: Nothing
    Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0)
    Total Players Recognized: 12

    I use a variety of players and have Material Skin as my default option. I donít understand the significance but I see that I have nothing against IO::Socket::SSL which doesnít look right? If I putty into my PI4 and enter the command Ďopenssl versioní it reports OpenSSL 1.1.0l 10 Sep 2019 but that isnít showing in LMS.

    Could this be the problem regarding the Radio 3 text?

    Actually, Iíve just noticed these errors appearing at the top of the plugins screen so something is definitely amiss.

    Bad repository https://github.com/LMS-Community/lms...extensions.xml - Can't connect to https URL lack of IO::Socket::SSL: https://github.com/LMS-Community/lms...extensions.xml

    Bad repository https://sourceforge.net/projects/lms...64/repo_sf.xml - Can't connect to https URL lack of IO::Socket::SSL: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lms...64/repo_sf.xml

    Can someone please direct me as to how I install the necessary software, I havenít noticed this problem before.

    Many thanks
    Ashley

    You have a problem with your PCP install. IO::Socket::SSL is missing.
    IO::Socket::SSL is need for https support. This will affect lots of internet services (not just track info for BBCiPlayer) including LMS respository.

    For help, post this issue on the pcp 6.1. thread. The PCP developers may have a hot fix or something.
