I only want to choose music in a few simple ways. So: Under the Setting-->Home screen items, the only box checked is "My Music" -- no "Radio", "Favorites", etc. And under the "My Music" gear icon, the only boxes checked are "Album Artists", "Albums", and "Genres". In particular, "All Artists" and "Random Albums" are unchecked.

And indeed, when I select "My Music" for any player, I only get entries for "Album Artists", "Albums", and "Genres".

If I then select Genres-->[some-genre], I now have choices of "All Artists", "Album Artists", "Albums", and "Random Albums". Why am I seeing "Album Artists" and "Random Albums" at this level, when I didn't see them at the top level?

If it's meant to be that way, I guess that's fine, but if it's a bug, then I guess I'm reporting it. :-)

    Thanks,
    paul
Can’t answer your question but why have “My Music” at all?
Did you know that you can pin Artists, Albums & Genres to the Home Screen?

How is the JSON call made? Is this by the album name or by a specific all music identifier? The latter would be particularly useful for classical music as often albums are divided up by work and MAI often can't identify them.

Pin them in the order you want them to appear as you can’t sort later. But you can easily unpin and redo.

I guess I'm being dense: I can't find where in settings I'd do this pinning.

    Thanks,

    To set it up
My Music / Albums - click the three dots to right of the “Albums” entry in the list. Pin to Home Screen appears.
When finished you can remove My Music if you wish. You can always put it back if needed.

PS At bottom of Information is a link to the User Guide I wrote for Craig some moons ago. It’s still mostly correct.

Oh ho! Thank you both. I assumed it would be in Settings somewhere.

Having now pinned some things, how do I remove "My Music"? (And how would I replace it, if it's not the same way?)

You remove that via Settings and put it back the same way.
