Another, hopefully small/easy request, if I may?

I often find myself wanting to re-load the current view - mainly the New Music view...if I have done an update scan in another window, or come back to my browser a day later when I know a scan has happened etc.

But because the LMS interface has never really used proper URLs, I don't think there is an easy way to reload the current view is there? I.e. if I have New Music open, it's easy to go back to home etc, but not just to refresh the view. If I use the browser's reload button, it reloads back to home...so a manual reload button for the current view would be super handy.

Not keen on adding a refresh button, just adds to the clutter. What I have done, for 1.8.6, is that the New Music view is refreshed after a scan is complete.
Material debug: 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here.

Ok, well that certainly my main use case, so thanks!

As craig mentioned this feature is part of LMS already - albeit slightly
    broken.

The name would not persist across LMS restarts. But as it's server-side,
it does persist across browsers etc.

I committed a fix to LMS8. If you could give it a try? Binaries should
be out shortly. If that's good, I'll back-port to 7.9.

Just upgraded to the '"August 3 2020" release of LMS 7.9, and gave it a pretty thorough beating around the playlist mechanics. It's all working splendidly! Thanks Michael!

    1.8.6 Release

    Bug-fix release, main changes:

    1. Translation updates.
    2. Map icon for Sprocket plugin.
    3. Fix mapping of mysqueezebox.com apps when using local LMS image proxy.
    4. Update rating display if current setting, or calculated value, differs from previous.
    5. Allow to set custom actions for now-playing cover context menu.
    6. Add action to 'Zap' play queue items.
    7. Don't close 'More' list when clicking radio stream skip actions.
    8. When saving the queue, don't use error text colour to indicate that a playlist with that name exists - looks odd if saving queue to its existing name.
    9. Show name of currently loaded playlist in queue view.
    10. Refresh 'New Music' after scan complete.
Material debug: 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here.

Thanks! On the next version of the APK, can you display its version number at the bottom of the "Application settings" screen?

You can get to the version via android's Settings app, or by looking at 'App info'

See the "Custom menu entries" section of https://github.com/CDrummond/lms-mat...ed-Information You need to create a file named "actions.json" within a "material-skin" sub-folder within your LMS's preferences folder. e.g. "/usr/locallms/prefs/material-skin/actions.json" In this file you need a "track" section - and those entries are added to the now-playing context menu.
