i noticed the view was being update more often than it should, so this verison should be faster...

    lms-material-test2.zip

Confirmed. I've added an issue on github so that it is not forgotten in the noise. https://github.com/CDrummond/lms-material/issues/349

I had the previous dev version installed so deleted that folder replaced it with this one renamed MaterialSkin and it doesn't show up in plugins. Have I done something wrong?

I'm seeing empty lists occasionally. Once when I drilled into Spotty, the top said 10 items, but no icons / content appeared. Later, I pressed Material's back button to return from Album Artists to the home and no contented appeared. Finally, I long pressed the My Music back arrow, and the Music sources list was empty. A browser refresh fixes the issue.

    Using test version 2.

Can't say I've seen that, and can't recreate - not doubting there is/was an issue. Anyhow, test2 was only so that the speed of scroll could be determined. I've just made an update in git/devel which might resolve your issue - but I really dont want to keep adding releases here. If you can, please use git. Simple instructions:

    1. git clone https://github.com/CDrummond/lms-material.git
    2. cd lms-material
    3. git checkout devel

Now you can copy the 'MaterialSkin' folder to your LMS's plugins folder. To update (i.e to get any changes) simply use "git pull"

    Done, and will monitor.

The speed feels pretty good on my iMac. The brief blank screens upon very fast scroll don't bother me much and can live with them.

But the artwork replacement after the scroll stops is a little jarring. Cell metadata is correct, but the artwork that previously occupied that cell is shown for a moment (I think Michael referred to this earlier). I wonder if it would be possible/better to just populate a new page's image squares with an empty space, rather than see the wrong artwork for the brief interval before it gets updated with the correct art?

When artwork is turned off for browsing the Spotify symbol partly obscures the album name.

Scrolling seems quite jerky to me. I don't think I noticed this before the latest test version.

I don't explicitly change anything, its the underlying framework that I use. I tried changing the images to be 'lazy-loaded', and this resolves the brief incorrect (old) image issue - but causes flicker

[Edit] Please update, and try again - I've made a change which seems to resolve this for me.

I'd set the buffer to 500px - this is the amount of pixels that will be used before & after what is shown, to reduce the blankness. I've now reduced this to 250px - does this help? Also, what are you scrolling, a list, grid? How many columns on the grid? On your pixel, or on a desktop browser? For me (which I know is subjective), on my Nokia 6.1 I perceive no jerkiness (even with the 500px buffer).
